My name is Scott Newcomer, CBMC Mid-Atlantic Area Director. Since autumn of 2005 I have had the pleasure of supporting and directing the CBMC activities in our region.

Who is CBMC?
CBMC is Christian Business Men's Connection, a worldwide movement of business and professional men seeking to reach their peers for Jesus Christ.
We live in a swirl of corporate corruption, compromised integrity, moral decay in leadership, attacks from terrorists, broken families, discarded dreams and empty lives. Christ intentionally ministered and taught people in the villages and cities. Today’s cities and marketplaces are filled with people in desperate need - 75% of the US population lives in the largest 100 cities. It is to this business community that God has called the men of CBMC to labor and has given them a vision to make a difference that impacts the world. A CBMC ministry team is a collection of people whose hearts God has touched to evangelize and make disciples in the business community and neighborhood.

Ministry activities in the Mid-Atlantic Area:
Area Team Meetings
God calls us to work together in teams in order to multiply what He wants to accomplish through us.
In our region, more then 150 men meet together weekly among our 18 Mid-Atlantic CBMC teams. They enjoy fellowship, ministry training, praying for the lost, and planning how to be better “Missionaries in the Marketplace.”
Feel free to arrive late or leave early so the meeting will not interfere with your employment responsibilities.

Businessmen’s Connection Events
In CBMC, Christian businessmen connect others to Jesus Christ, and by His grace, they connect to other businessmen from all walks of life. Our diverse members share a common desire to deepen their connection with God, and along the way, they answer the call to tell others about the completeness they’ve discovered through Christ.
I have had the pleasure of attending a number of powerful events where the impact of Jesus Christ on a man’s life is clearly presented and offered to those attending.

CBMC Forums, for Christian Business Owners
CBMC Forums is a unique ministry for Christian Business owners. Members meet together once a month for a time of Study about what the Bible says about business ownership and a time to confidentially review the business issues you are currently dealing with and get input and direction from other like minded men. Discipleship Program
Operation Timothy has been a proven discipleship tool of CBMC for years. Operation Timothy gets its name from the Apostle Paul who took a young Christian named Timothy under his wing and invested his life into his life.
The goal of the discipleship process is spiritual reproduction to the 3rd and 4th generations and beyond. Paul exhorts Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2, "the things you have heard me say . . . entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others."
CBMC Mid-Atlantic has mature men (Pauls) actively discipling men (Timothys) though Operation Timothy. In addition, many other men continue to encourage others in their faith by meeting them for breakfast or lunch each week.

Yearly Men’s Retreat
Once a year men from throughout our ministry gather together for a few days of fellowship, teaching and refreshment. This year our retreat is Jan 23-25, 2009 at the SPADE retreat center in Kempton, PA, just outside of Allentown.
